Well, I have finally decided that enough is enough. I honestly don't
know when the name of Jesus became the worlds' most favorite swear
word- but obviously the American Movie Gangsters in Hollywood think so.
My husband and I went to see a movie last Saturday (13 March 2010). It
was generally a good movie, with really good actors.
The disappointing part came when they used the name of Jesus Christ to
swear and express heir emotions in the movie. That was not the end. We took out two DVD's earlier that week and was unable to finish watching either of them, due to the blasphemy.
I've decided that I'm tired of wasting money on movies and DVD's that
we're unable to enjoy or to finish because of my convictions and my love
I know that if the situation was different and they used the name of
Allah, or Mohammed, Shirah, Buddah- or any other god or holy figure to swear in movies, we would be faced with threats of a war.
Why should we as Christians sit back and accept this? What does it say
about our convictions and our love for our Savior when we turn a blind
Eye to His dignity and glory? Is this what jelly fishes our lame Christians have become- because we have a "mellow" faith?
I know that many have attempted to make their voices heard in this
Regard. I am not saying that my voice is so much louder than others, but
this is my small attempt to stand up for what I believe. It is my
attempt to stand up not only for my right as a consumer, but for my God
I want to insist that, just as there is an N for nudity, a PG for
Parental guidance, V for violence, S for sex etc, at the bottom of movie
posters, warning movie goers of what they are choosing to see, there should be a B included, warning Christians of Blasphemy in the movie.
I trust that I am not the only one upset and tired of this. I trust the forum readers will agree with me to stop these heathens in the movie business to use our Creator's name in vain- especially movies from the USA.
Thanks so much and love to all;
