SECUNDA-Police urged parents to look after their children as the Fife Soccer World Cup is getting closer.
"Parents should know where their children are and who they are with at all times.
"It is a known fact that boys become vulnerable after writing exams.
"This may encourage them to commit crime.
"Boys need to be taken care of just like girls, because nowadays statutory rape does not choose gender,"said the spokesman of Secunda Police, Capt Busaphi Sibanyoni.
The police advised parents to encourage their children to stay indoors during the school holidays.
"They can watch soccer on the television or do school work. It is better for them to stay inside in order to be save.
"It will not be easy for the police to investigate missing children enquiries during the Soccer World Cup,"said Capt Sibanyone.
"The police are relying on the comunity to assist them in preventing crime against children.
"Let us show our visitors from other countries that we love our children,"he said.
